Ask yourself: polls have consistently shown that around 90% of Americans, and roughly 70–80% of NRA members themselves, support universal background checks for gun sales. The number moves a little from survey to survey, but the pattern has held for over a decade. So why has Congress, across administrations of both parties, still failed to act? Because the American public has been poisoned into believing the Duopoly — the illusion that two parties define all reality, and that any agreement crossing party lines must be rare or unstable.
Don't get duped. The spectrum of conscience is wider than red or blue. We do not assume citizens secretly agree on everything. We assume something narrower and harder to dispute: that profit, polarization, and political theater are structurally rewarded over genuine representation — regardless of how much or how little agreement actually exists beneath any given issue.
